Dr. Jamali sees patients at the Lawrence Ellison Building as well as the UC Davis Sports Medicine Clinic. The locations for these clinics are below. All preoperative appointments are held at the Ellison building. The preoperative visit can take several hours. It consists of a review of all recent health information and a visit with the UC Davis anesthesia preoperative clinic. In most cases, new radiographs and new laboratory studies are also obtained at that visit. For patients undergoing joint replacement, an information session is held on twice a month, generally on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 1 to 3 PM in the Ellison Building. The first part of the session is taught by Cindy Anderson from a nurse's perspective and the second half taught by one of the physical therapists on staff. The topics covered are preparation for the surgery, blood clot prevention, the surgical procedure, pain management, precautions, discharge planning, home health, and a variety of other topics.
Lawrence Ellison Building UC Davis Sports Medicine Clinic All surgeries are performed at UC Davis Medical Center at 2315 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95817. On the day of surgery, patients need to go the Tower I floor for inpatient surgeries such as total joint replacement and to the University Surgical Center on the first floor for outpatient surgery. There is an information desk at the front desk of the hospital. |
